Damn!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It looks <a title=\"Palm Sounds\" href=\"http:\/\/www.palmsounds.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">PalmSounds<\/a>, one of our\u00a0favorite iThing blogs, is closing its doors. The site has been devoted to mobile audio and music apps since it launched five and a half years ago, but in <a title=\"Palm Sounds\" href=\"http:\/\/www.palmsounds.net\/2012\/01\/some-important-news-about-future-of.html\" target=\"_blank\">an open letter published on Monday<\/a>,\u00a0the site&#8217;s founder, <a title=\"Ashley Elsdon\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ashleyelsdon.com\" target=\"_blank\">Ashley Elsdon<\/a>,\u00a0announced that Palm Sounds would no longer be posting new articles&#8230; at least for the time being.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This blog has been around for just over 5 and a half years now and especially in the last 12 months it has required more and more time and effort just to stay on top of everything that&#8217;s happening in the mobile music world. It now takes up almost, if not all my spare time, and this isn&#8217;t really a sustainable position.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Palm Sounds has been a vocal supporter of <em>Hand Held Hollywood<\/em> since we came on the scene back in 2009.
