Step 1: get Video on the iPad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s no doubt that we&#8217;ll be editing video on the iPad in the very near future. <a href=\"https:\/\/handheldhollywood.com\/reeldirector-20-adds-music-to-our-ears.html\" target=\"_blank\">Nexvio&#8217;s ReelDirector<\/a> has already brought video editing to the iPhone, so it&#8217;s just a matter of time before the iPad gets the royal treatment. But, unlike the iPhone, the iPad has no built-in camera. \u00a0So, we&#8217;re going to need some other way of importing our footage.<\/p>\n<p>Introducing<em> some other way<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Apple is now taking pre-orders for the <a href=\"http:\/\/store.apple.com\/us\/product\/MC531\" target=\"_blank\">iPad Camera Connection Kit<\/a>. \u00a0For 29 bucks, you&#8217;ll get an SD Card reader, along with a USB Camera connector. \u00a0While this kit is mostly touted as a means of importing photos, it will also import your camera&#8217;s video files. \u00a0So, if you&#8217;ve a video camera, or still camera that shoots video, and it has a USB connection, or shoots to SD Memory Cards, there&#8217;s a very good chance that this connection kit will allow you to import your video files directly into the iPad. \u00a0There may be some issues with compatible codecs, but we&#8217;ll know for sure soon enough.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday can&#8217;t come soon enough.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s no doubt that we&#8217;ll be editing video on the iPad in the very near future.
