It all began with an <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Apple_II_Plus\" target=\"_blank\">Apple II plus<\/a> when I was 11 years old. \u00a0I wrote my first program (in Applesoft) to generate the end credits for a stop-motion sci-fi film I had just shot on Super-8. \u00a0I simply pointed my camera and the green-tinted screen, typed RUN, and filmed the pre-programmed crawl. \u00a0It looked great, and I felt like a rock-star.<\/p>\n<p>In the 30 years that have passed since then, I&#8217;ve integrated countless Apple products into every aspect of my professional and personal life. Each project I&#8217;ve directed, all the music I&#8217;ve composed, and every document I&#8217;ve ever shared have all passed through an Apple II, a Mac, an iPhone or an iPad.<\/p>\n<p>Apple&#8217;s products have \u00a0motivated and\u00a0empowered me. \u00a0They&#8217;ve given me a lifetime of inspiration.\u00a0And for that, I\u00a0owe Steve Jobs a bottomless well of gratitude.<\/p>\n<p>-Taz<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been using Apple products as part of my filmmaking workflow for the past 30 years.
