Taz Goldstein on the Mobile Creator Podcast.

I’m on the Mobile Creator Podcast!

I had the honor and pleasure of being interviewed on the Mobile Creator Podcast earlier this week! It was a genuine blast being able to chat about the ‘then and now’ of mobile media creation. You can find my episode on their official website, or in the podcast player of your choice. You can also visit their YouTube channel to watch video of the interview.

The best part of the experience was getting to reconnect with Glen Mulcahy, the man behind MojoFest (the longest running international mobile journalism conference). I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: my involvement in MojoFest and MojoCon were two of the highlights of my Hand Held Hollywood adventures so far! Such a treat to be around so many like-minded people.

Now serving as co-host of the Mobile Creator Podcast, Glen continues to spread the mobile media making gospel, even in this time of pandemic lockdowns. If you want to learn more about the craft from a string of excellent guests, you should add the Mobile Creator Podcast to your playlist. Search for it in your podcasting app of choice.

If you’re curious why I started Hand Held Hollywood over a decade ago, or interested to learn what apps I’m obsessed with these days, check out episode #11. Here’s a link to the episode on the podcast’s website.

Heading Into the Sunse— Hang on. I have a call.

Dear iPhone fanatics and filmmaking friends, This will be the final post for Hand Held Hollywood. To loyal HHH readers, I’m sure this feels somewhat overdue. Probably because it is.

Shang-Chi Director Directed From His iPhone

I enjoyed reading this brief ScreenRant story, so I thought I’d share it here. It describes how Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of Marvel’s Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings, was forced to direct an important scene via his iPhone while in the hospital for the birth of his child! Sadly, it doesn’t divulge the details of that unusual workflow, but it’s an excellent reminder that we’re all toting the world’s most versatile piece of filmmaking gear in our pockets and purses!
