MacWorld / iWorld 2013: olloclip’s New Case

I’m a long time fan of the olloclip, the adorable multi-lens widget that slides over the corner of your iPhone, empowering your camera with wide-angle, fish-eye, and macro lenses. In addition to recently releasing a new version of this attachment for the iPhone 5’s slimmer form factor, it seems the olloclip gang has cooked up something entirely new!

Check out their new iPhone case that makes it easy for olloclip owners to use their favorite lens while keeping their iPhone protected.  It even adds a shutter release and tripod mounts! The audio is a bit funky at the head of this clip. Sorry about that. Too many people using wireless microphones at MacWorld.

The New GLIF tripod mount looks awesome!

UPDATE – MAY 30, 2017: Having successfully wrapped up its Kickstarter campaign, the GLIF is now available for purchase directly from the Studio Neat website! The GLIF will run you $28, while the full set with hand grip and wrist strap will set you back $55. The GLIF, one of the first iPhone camera accessories is still one of the best. And it’s about to get even better! Just in case you’ve been avoiding every article ever written about mobile filmmaking, the GLIF is a pocket-sized tripod mount for your iPhone.
