The New GLIF tripod mount looks awesome!

UPDATE – MAY 30, 2017: Having successfully wrapped up its Kickstarter campaign, the GLIF is now available for purchase directly from the Studio Neat website! The GLIF will run you $28, while the full set with hand grip and wrist strap will set you back $55. Go get it

The GLIF, one of the first iPhone camera accessories is still one of the best. And it’s about to get even better! Just in case you’ve been avoiding every article ever written about mobile filmmaking, the GLIF is a pocket-sized tripod mount for your iPhone.

The original GLIF launched as a Kickstarter campaign nearly 6 years ago (read our coverage here), and was an instant hit. While there have been a few iterations of the design since then, none have been as exciting as the original. That changes now.

The NEW GLIF has just appeared on Kickstarter and has already surpassed its fundraising goals! What sets this new version apart is its new quick-release mechanism and locking lever. It allows for uber-fast mounting (and un-mounting) of your iPhone, while remaining very secure. It’s an impressive upgrade for such a simple product.

The new model will set you back $25 plus shipping, or you can double that and get an elegant wooden hand grip along with a matching wrist strap. Like all the products emerging from Studio Neat, the new GLIF looks well designed and solidly built. Want one? The Kickstarter campaign lasts another 31 days, so go get it!
