A man holding up a cell phone, improved with the Stabil-i iPhone Stabilizer.

Only days left to support the Stabil-i iPhone Stabilizer!

I’m not sure which is crazier: The fact that it’s been over a month since my last post, or that three of my last four posts (including this one) have been about Kickstarter.com campaigns!  Without further ado, let’s get to it!

The Stabil-i needs your help if it’s going to make it to the marketplace. The product’s kickstarter campaign is rapidly nearing its end, with only a few days left. To learn more about the Stabil-i, read up on its history, and to “back the project,” visit kickstarter right now. Time is running out!The team at Austin’s Dynamo Innovations Group have created an entirely new looking iPhone stabilizer called the Stabil-i.  While there is no shortage of iPhone stabilizers on the market (see my previous post), the Stabil-i offers a very unique design! It’s the first stabilizer I’ve ever seen that can fold up, and be tucked into your pocket when not in use. More importantly, its compact size means that it can always be with you, ready to smooth out your videos at a moment’s notice.

If you’d like to learn more, run (don’t walk) to their campaign page and pledge your support.

On a side note: If you’ve been wondering why my posts have slowed to a crawl over these past couple months, it’s because I’ve been spending every moment of the day working on my new book. More details will be posted soon, but in the meantime you can get the basic 411 right here. Thanks to everyone who’s emailed me about it. Your support is profoundly appreciated!

The New GLIF tripod mount looks awesome!

UPDATE – MAY 30, 2017: Having successfully wrapped up its Kickstarter campaign, the GLIF is now available for purchase directly from the Studio Neat website! The GLIF will run you $28, while the full set with hand grip and wrist strap will set you back $55. The GLIF, one of the first iPhone camera accessories is still one of the best. And it’s about to get even better! Just in case you’ve been avoiding every article ever written about mobile filmmaking, the GLIF is a pocket-sized tripod mount for your iPhone.
