Perfect Last Minute Gift for iPhone owning Filmmakers

UPDATE: We received several requests for a folded-card layout, so we just added one! See below.

Are you still running around, trying to find that perfect Christmas gift for your favorite filmmaker? Relax! Hand Held Hollywood is here to help! We’ve created a handy-dandy iTunes Gift Card Holder that aspiring and experienced filmmakers will absolutely love…and that will make you look like a gift-giving champ! Not only is it fun and festive, it also features convenient shortcuts (URLs and QR codes) to some of our favorite filmmaking apps.

It’s incredibly simple to use. Start by grabbing an iTunes Gift Card — which are available just about EVERYWHERE! A $25 card is good, but a higher value card is better (some filmmaking apps can run as high as $29.99). Then download the HHH Card Holder using one of the links below (there are two layouts to pick from), print it on a color printer, attach your iTunes Gift Card (use double sided tape to keep it snazzy), and you’re done! Instant awesomeness!

Both layouts include an alternate version that provides space for a personal note. Whichever layout you pick, I hope it helps make your favorite filmmaker very happy. And remember, if you want to include a little something extra this year, give your favorite filmmaker a copy of our book, Hand Held Hollywood’s Filmmaking with the iPad & iPhone!

Merry Christmas from Hand Held Hollywood!

Dear iPhone fanatics and filmmaking friends, This will be the final post for Hand Held Hollywood. To loyal HHH readers, I’m sure this feels somewhat overdue. Probably because it is.

Shang-Chi Director Directed From His iPhone

I enjoyed reading this brief ScreenRant story, so I thought I’d share it here. It describes how Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of Marvel’s Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings, was forced to direct an important scene via his iPhone while in the hospital for the birth of his child! Sadly, it doesn’t divulge the details of that unusual workflow, but it’s an excellent reminder that we’re all toting the world’s most versatile piece of filmmaking gear in our pockets and purses!
